Use a public KAYAK property URL for hotel details, photos, and amenities. URL to Hotel ID extracts its identifier without checking existence; keep the canonical URL for content requests.

Find a city ID by name and compare LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH daily bands through the buzz calendar. This is relative city pricing, not dated room availability or monetary hotel quotes.

Hotel Reviews takes hotel_id and page, returning up to 10 reviews with source labels and 0–100 scores. Follow has_more; its source total can differ from the Details aggregate.

How do I find the KAYAK city ID?

Call Destination Lookup with a city-name query of 2–100 characters. Use the returned city_id for the calendar.

Does the buzz calendar return hotel prices?

It returns daily LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH bands for a city, not monetary prices or hotel availability.

Can I choose a currency or date range?

No. The source determines the calendar dates, and relative bands have no currency.

Can an AI agent use these endpoints?

Yes. StayAPI MCP exposes hotel content and review tools, URL resolution, city lookup, and the buzz calendar. Use your StayAPI key.

Can I request hotel content with a hotel ID?

Details, photos, and amenities require the public KAYAK property URL ending in .ksp. URL to Hotel ID returns an identifier but does not verify existence.

How do I paginate KAYAK hotel reviews?

Pass hotel_id and page (1–1000, default 1). Each page contains up to 10 reviews; follow has_more. Scores use 0–100. total_review_count belongs to the reviews source and can differ from the Details aggregate. No sort selector is available.
