GET

Expedia Hotel Details API

Get property metadata using an Expedia property ID. No stay dates are required.

Request

curl --get 'https://api.stayapi.com/v1/expedia/hotel/details' \
  --header 'X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY' \
  --data-urlencode 'property_id=1582716'

property_id is a required positive ASCII decimal string without leading zeros. In an Expedia hotel URL, it is the number after .h and before .Hotel-Information. For example, .h1582716.Hotel-Information identifies property 1582716.

Response

Returns property identity and available descriptive metadata. Optional fields are null when Expedia does not publish them. Details do not establish stay availability or contain a price quote.

FieldDescription
property_idExpedia property ID, preserved as a string.
name, urlProperty name and Expedia property URL. The URL may redirect to Expedia's canonical hotel page.
description, amenitiesProperty description and published popular amenities; the amenities list is not exhaustive.
addressStreet address, city, postal code, and source country value.
latitude, longitudeGeographic coordinates, when published.
star_ratingProperty classification, separate from guest ratings.
guest_rating, guest_rating_scale, review_countAggregate guest score, its maximum scale, and review count.

Errors and billing

Errors use application/problem+json. Invalid property IDs return HTTP 400; a missing required parameter returns HTTP 422. Blocked, malformed, or unverifiable Expedia responses return HTTP 502. A 502 does not establish that a property is missing. Only a successful data call consumes one credit.
