Property Name Lookup API

GET https://api.stayapi.com/v1/expedia/hotel/lookup

Parameters

Required query, trimmed 1–200 characters. Also required: region_id, a numeric string up to 30 digits from destination lookup.

Authenticate with X-API-Key. One successful call consumes one credit.

Response scope

Returns query, region_id, count, availability_verified: false, properties. Each suggestion contains property_id, name, location, latitude, longitude; coordinates may be null. These are dateless native property-name suggestions using region context, not verified geographic containment, exact matches or bookable availability.

Use returned property IDs with Expedia reviews or rates. REST only; no MCP tool.

Errors

Invalid requests return 400 or 422 Problem Details. Upstream failures return 502, 503, or 504. Respect Retry-After when supplied; do not treat an error as empty results.
