Destination Search API

GET https://api.stayapi.com/v1/vrbo/search

Parameters

Required region_id (numeric string, up to 30 digits), check_in and check_out (strict YYYY-MM-DD, checkout after check-in). Optional adults=2 (1–8), offset=0 (0–1000), limit=10 (1–10), currency=USD. Only USD is accepted, including case/whitespace-normalized USD.

Authenticate with X-API-Key. One successful call consumes one credit.

Response scope

Returns region_id, region_name, check_in, check_out, adults, currency, offset, limit, count, properties, next_offset, next_limit and availability_verified: false. Each primary card has property_id, name, canonical_url and listing_id. Use internal property_id for reviews; public listing_id belongs in the Vrbo URL and may end in ha. Prices are omitted. Discovery does not confirm availability. Continue only with the returned next_offset/next_limit pair; nullable continuation does not claim exhaustive inventory.

Vrbo native property-name lookup is not available. REST only; no MCP tool.

Errors

Invalid requests return 400 or 422 Problem Details. Upstream failures return 502, 503, or 504. Respect Retry-After when supplied; do not treat an error as empty results.
